Related to the rhododendron, Red Bells Enkiathus provides lots of red lantern shaped flowers in late spring to early summer. In the summer, the pleasing green foliage makes a nice backdrop for perennials in partially shaded areas. The foliage then turns brilliant orange in the fall.
