Item # 5548 Pennisetum alopecuroides 'Red Head'
These plumes are larger, more colorful and bloom earlier than those of other fountain grasses. Purplish buds turn smoky red as they mature into soft, 8-10" plumes. Foliage takes on a golden hue in fall. Blooms mid to late summer. Can reach 36 to 48" tall and should be spaced 30-36" apart in full sun. Shipped as a 4" potted plant.
