Possesses showy white flowers in late spring and early summer, followed by bright scarlet berries in late spring-early summer with the foliage turning a deep red in the fall. The berries are completely edible and are one of the best berries for homemade jellies. Prefers acidic, well drained soil with just a few hours of sun. Perfect for growing under trees.
