Main crop tomato!
This popular main crop F-1 hybrid will weigh as much as 1 1/2 pound each, 4 inches across and 2 3/4 inches deep. The bright red fruits are semi-globe shaped and firm. The meaty flesh is of fine flavor and excellent quality. The vines are tall and spreading with fairly dense foliage that gives good protection to the fruit. Fine for home gardens and market.
80 days from setting out plants until first fruits mature. When raising transplants from seed add 6-8 weeks.
Planting guide: Start indoors 8 weeks before time to set in open ground. Cover thinly, then pack firmly and water. When plants are about 2 inches high, transplant to 3 inches apart in flat or pot. After danger of frost, set 2 to 3 feet apart in garden, but before doing so, harden the plants by gradually exposing them to the outdoor air for about a week.
