Cactus
Holiday cactus, also called Christmas cactus, are some of the most popular houseplants to grow. They respond to shorter days by developing flower buds that provide a festive floral display in the home during the winter months. Available in an array of colors, these houseplants can live for decades, getting larger and more spectacular as the years go by. Originating in Central and South America in areas where orchids commonly grow, they grow best when placed in an area of the home that receives indirect sunlight. For the best growth and performance, plant your holiday cactus in well-drained soil. These plants require more water than traditional cactus. You may have to water it a few times a week. When watering, water thoroughly and then let the soil dry out between watering.
