Butterfly Bush
Often described as pollinator magnets, butterfly bushes attract butterflies, hummingbirds and bees to the garden. Also called buddleias, these flowering shrubs are easy to grow, reliable and low maintenance. Available in an array of flower colors, they add brilliant color and fragrance to the garden when they burst into bloom from midsummer to fall. These popular shrubs often grow 6-10 ft. tall and can be used as an accent plant or massed together as an informal hedge. The showy flower panicles also make impressive cut flowers that can perfume a room. These sun-loving shrubs are drought tolerant, once established, and deer tend to pass them by.
